White Pomeranian: what the colour really is in Singapore
A white Pomeranian puppy is 1.9 to 3.5 kg as an adult and $4,288 to $4,888 all-in at Pomeranian.sg, in any colour. True white is rarer than the listings suggest, so here is how to tell snow white from cream before you pay.

Is this dog actually white?
A white Pomeranian has a snow-white coat with black points: nose, lips, eye rims and paw pads. True white is uncommon because the gene is recessive, and many white-looking puppies turn out cream. At Pomeranian.sg every dog is $4,288–$4,888 all-in, whatever the colour.

What a white Pomeranian actually is
This is a Pomeranian with a snow-white coat and black points. The points are the nose, lips, eye rims and paw pads. Those dark edges are what separate a true white dog from a pale one.
The coat is not a separate breed or variety. There is one Pomeranian, and white is one of the recognised colours it can come in. The same 1.9 to 3.5 kg dog, the same fox face, the same voice.
What defines a true white
- Snow-white coat, no cream shading
- Black nose, lips and eye rims
- Black paw pads
- No lemon or biscuit behind the ears
- Same breed, same size as any Pom
How rare is a truly white Pomeranian?
Rarer than the listings imply. The white gene is recessive, so a pure-white adult requires the right combination on both sides of the breeding. Many dogs advertised as white are cream when you see them.
The useful test is behind the ears. At eight to twelve weeks, look for a faint lemon or biscuit tint there and along the tail. If you see it, the dog will likely mature cream rather than white.
None of that makes a cream dog worse. It makes the word "white" a claim worth checking, and it is why we will tell you what a puppy actually is rather than what a photo suggests.
The colours people call white
Three colours get sold under the same word, and the price rarely reflects the difference. True white is the snow-white coat with black points and no shading anywhere on the body.
Cream is the off-white dog, ranging from near-white to a warm biscuit. Parti is a two-colour dog with white patches on a coloured body, which is a different pattern entirely.
The two marketing terms are worth knowing. A snow white Pom is a bright, neutral white.
The cool-toned version is called ice white, closer to blue-white than to cream. A parti Pomeranian is a different thing again: a coloured dog with white patches.
Three things sold as white
- True white: snow white, black points
- Cream: off-white to biscuit, very common
- Parti: white patches on a coloured dog
- Ice white: a cool-toned true white
- Snow white: a bright, neutral white
Will a white puppy stay white?
Usually not exactly. Puppy coats blur the adult colour, because the adult coat has not grown in yet. Pomeranians blow their puppy coat around four to six months, and the adult colour is clear by about a year.
That is why judging colour from an eight-week photo is unreliable. Judge the dog at five or six months if you can, and ask for photos of the parents, because coat colour runs in families far more than it varies within a litter.
If being genuinely white matters to you, say so up front. We would rather show you two dogs and let you choose than sell you a cream puppy described as white. Our full Pomeranian colour chart covers every shade we see.
What a white Pomeranian costs in Singapore
At Pomeranian.sg a Pomeranian is $4,288–$4,888 all-in, and the colour does not change the number. That figure includes the 30-item starter kit, delivery and playpen setup, a first lesson with an AVS-certified trainer, licensing at purchase and five-day bring-back-if-sick support.
Across the Singapore market, prices vary mainly by what the seller includes: whether the licence is handled, whether a starter kit and delivery are in the figure, and whether the puppy has had a vet check and a microchip.
We do not charge a colour premium, because a colour is not a health or quality difference. Compare the inclusion list rather than the headline. The what a Pomeranian costs breaks down what moves the number and what it costs to keep the dog each month.
The all-in figure
- $4,288–$4,888 all-in
- No colour premium
- 30-item starter kit included
- Delivery and pen setup included
- Licensing handled at purchase
- 5-day bring-back-if-sick support
Caring for a white coat in Singapore
A white coat shows everything. Tear staining under the eyes, dust from the pavement and the grey of a rainy-season walk all read far more clearly than on an orange or sable dog.
The routine that works is small and daily. Wipe the eyes each morning with a damp cotton pad, rinse the feet after a wet walk, and brush every other day so dead coat does not sit against the skin in the humidity.
Professional grooming every four to six weeks keeps the shape and the colour. It is the recurring cost most new owners underestimate, and a pale dog makes it visible. Our The HDB guide covers the rest of the flat-living detail.
The daily coat routine
- Wipe eyes every morning
- Rinse feet after wet walks
- Brush every other day
- Groom every 4-6 weeks
- Check ears weekly

Is a white Pomeranian HDB approved?
Yes. HDB approves breeds rather than colours, and the Pomeranian appears on the HDB approved dog list. This colour is as legal in an HDB flat as an orange one.
One approved dog is allowed per flat, and the licence transfers with the dog. Private housing is more generous, with up to three dogs of any size subject to licensing and any condo by-laws.
Colour is irrelevant to that answer, so a seller who tells you a white dog needs special approval is telling you something false. The rule is about the breed named on the list, not the shade of the coat.

Ask on WhatsAppThe questions people actually search
Most people arrive here looking for a white Pomeranian for sale in Singapore. The first useful question is not the price but whether the seller holds an AVS licence you can verify.
On cost, a white Pomeranian price at Pomeranian.sg is the same all-in figure as any other colour, and we will quote it on WhatsApp rather than hide it behind an enquiry form.
On longevity, the white Pomeranian life span is the same 12 to 16 years as the breed.
On size, a white Pom mini is a marketing label, not a recognised size, and a standard dog is already small.
The Pomeranian coat cycle explains the rest: the puppy coat goes around four to six months, and the adult colour is settled by about a year.
How to check a seller before you pay
Every legal AVS licensed pet shop in Singapore holds a licence, and every licence appears on the AVS public registry of licensed pet shops. Ours is AS24J00046. Ask for the number, then look it up.
Ask to meet the puppy in daylight. You are checking three things: that the dog moves easily and is curious rather than shut down, that the space is clean, and that the seller answers colour and health questions without deflecting.
Then ask what records travel with the dog: vaccination dates, microchip number and a vet health check. A seller who cannot put them in writing is offering a promise instead of a record.
Before you pay a deposit
- AVS licence number, checked on the registry
- An in-person viewing, in daylight
- Vaccination record with dates
- Microchip number in writing
- Vet health check before handover
- A return policy in writing
Who a white Pomeranian is not for
If you want a dog that stays clean without effort, this is not it. A white coat is a daily commitment, and skipping the grooming cycle produces matting rather than saving money.
If nobody is home during the working day, a Pomeranian is also a poor fit. They bond closely, they are alert and vocal, and they do not do well alone for eight hours.
And if the attraction is a dog that stays a puppy forever, be honest about the reality. This is a bold little watchdog with a working-breed temperament, quick to learn rules you did not intend to teach.
That is wonderful if you want a thinking companion. It is tiring if you wanted an ornament, and the white coat will not stay showroom-clean in either case.

Frequently asked questions
Is white actually rare in the breed?
Genuinely pure-white adults are uncommon, because the white gene is recessive and many white-looking puppies turn out to be cream. A dog with a snow-white coat and black points is the real thing.
How much does one cost in Singapore?
At Pomeranian.sg every Pomeranian is $4,288–$4,888 all-in, whatever the colour. That includes the 30-item starter kit, delivery and setup, a training lesson and licensing.
Do you charge a colour premium?
No. We charge the same all-in price for every dog we place. A colour premium prices scarcity rather than quality, and it is not a charge we make.
Will a white puppy stay white?
Often not exactly. Puppy coats blur the adult colour, and cream or lemon shading behind the ears at eight to twelve weeks usually predicts an adult that is cream rather than white.
What are these dogs called?
They are simply Pomeranians with a white coat. The descriptive terms you will see are ice white for a cool-toned white, snow white for a bright neutral white, and cream for the off-white dogs often sold as white.
Is this colour HDB approved?
Yes. HDB approves breeds, not colours, and the Pomeranian appears on the HDB approved dog list. One approved dog is allowed per flat.
Do these dogs have more health problems?
There is no evidence that a white coat by itself causes health problems. What matters is the same for every colour: health screening in the parents, a vet check and honest records from a licensed seller.
How do I keep the coat clean?
Wipe the eyes daily to limit tear staining, rinse the feet after walks in the rain, and keep the groom every four to six weeks. A white coat shows dirt faster than any other colour.
How long does one live?
Typically 12 to 16 years, the same as any Pomeranian. Coat colour does not change the lifespan.
Can I see one before buying?
Yes. Our puppies are at 2 Balestier Road #01-701, weekdays 12pm to 6pm and weekends 10am to 6pm. We will show you what is actually available rather than a stock photo.
