A Pomeranian puppy reaches its adult weight of 1.9 to 3.5 kg at roughly nine to twelve months, and its adult height of about 18 to 24 cm a little earlier. Most of the visible growth is finished by month seven; what happens after that is the coat filling in, which is why a nine-month-old often looks bigger than it weighs.

We place standard Pomeranians only, so nobody here is going to promise you a dog that stays under a kilo. Be careful with any seller who does. A puppy photographed at eight weeks looks tiny because it is eight weeks old, not because it will stay that way, and a puppy genuinely engineered to stay that small is carrying health problems you will pay for later. If you want a specific end size, ask about the parents' adult weights rather than the puppy's current one.

The first week decides the next six months. Keep the playpen where the family actually is, not in a spare room. Expect crying for the first two or three nights and resist the urge to fix it by moving the puppy into your bed on night one.
